TheBooks new OMS is now Generally Available

The new interface provides a streamlined, integrated environment which incorporates selected orders, top-day positions/returns, market pricing, and order actions (create/place/fill/change) into a single window.  Each of the main components (the order list, performance and pricing, and order actions) can be torn away and placed on alternate screens or can auto-hide to save screen real estate until it is needed.

The Order List panel includes filters for market, accounts, executing desk, order state and others and provides the ability to view multiple days of trades at once.  The Order Action panel is context sensitive to the currently selected order(s) and allows the quick creation, placement, and modification of orders.  The Performance panel provides your current positions and top-day returns with filters by trading system, market, and accounts updated in real-time.

The interface has been in a limited release within our customer base since June 2015 and is now available for use by all customers.

For more information on using the new interface, please contact DMAXX support.

TradingScreen is now a supported execution platform

TheBooks now provides bi-directional execution integration with TradingScreen.  This brings the number of supported execution platforms to nine, providing an unprecedented range of execution options to the alternative investment manager seeking to implement straight-through processing in their operation.

Bi-directional execution integration allows trades to be initiated in TheBooks and routed to TradingScreen or trades initiated in TradingScreen to be automatically captured by TheBooks.  Changes made in either system are automatically reflected in the other.

eSignal is no longer available as a price data vendor

eSignal has discontinued the availability of the API used by TheBooks for obtaining prices. Users that wish to add a price data vendor interface for TheBooks will not be able to use eSignal as they are no longer providing access to their API.

Existing users of TheBooks that are using eSignal will continue to be able to use eSignal as long as they stay on the 10.6 release of the eSignal product, however, users should consider CQG or DTN as alternatives as eSignal has not provided guidance as to how long the 10.6 version will remain available.

For more information, see eSignal’s announcement available here.
